As our 45th reunion draws near, I thought a class Blog might be a great way to catch up with our classmates near and far. I will be unable to attend the reunion but will be thinking of all of you in attendance. For those of you familair with blogging you know it can be a fun experience. I use it with my students daily. If you have never blogged please give it a try. I think you will enjoy it:-)Take a few minutes and post some information about yourself. What's happening in your life?
I am beginning my 42 year teaching. My first 30 years I taught 1st grade (2 years in the Harrisburg City schools and 28 at the Harrisburg Academy.) Twelve years ago I went back to school at Penn State and got certification in Academic Technology. I now teach Tech at the Harrisburg Academy.
ReplyDeleteI have 5 wonderful grandkids and a Labradoodle named Nittany. I continue to be a huge PSU football fan, missing only 2 home games since 1982.
I am back in living in Enola and back attending my old church from high school, Enola Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
Marlynn,
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear from you. So how are you managing to go to the reunion when Penn State plays Minn starting at 3:30 that day!!! I was thinking about coming after the game maybe leave a little early but would plan to miss the dinner. If that is at all possible.
Jim,
ReplyDeleteI am not going to the reunion because I will be at the game. I thought about trying to get to Allenberry after the game but fear it will be too late with the later kick-off. I am sure you would be welcome after dinner because Dinah and I discussed this early in the planning.
My sister Anne, her husband Steve, and I go to all the home games together. I have four tickets and they have 2. I got custody of the 4 tickets in my divorce settlement:-) I have kept all four since my grandkids are getting old enough to enjoy going.
Where are you living now? How is your family?
Marlynn, what a great idea this blog is. I'm hoping Penn State is able to put the game away quickly and free you for the party.
ReplyDeleteI'm living in Manhattan with Jim (we're married 26 years), Michael (14), Yani (11), Jim's mom (92), a dog (Silky - Maltipoo) and a cat (Purry). Jim works for Zurich Insurance and I'm part owner of a government contracting company.
ReplyDeleteLife is fun and very busy. Having the kids late is good and bad - I think we would have had more energy earlier but we have lots of patience now!
I should give my bio: After High School grad Penn State BS Mech Engr.
